What a cool take on a phrase! Makes total sense. You are the perfect person to take on the challenge of helping us to see it's worth. I look forward to more.

You’re so kind! Thank you!

Great points and advice. I seem to recall cooking and prepping healthful meals for my pup daily while I fed myself chips for dinner. She learned through positive reinforcement, while I had a lot of self talk that was… less so.😅

Yes, exactly!! But when we start to talk to ourselves the way we talk to our dogs, suddenly we feel a lot better…

Chloe,

I feel sometimes as if my sleeping self is writing you to suggest topics!!! Luna, Willow Loki and I will be tuning in. They want me to be good to myself so I can keep being good to them.

Yes!! Pants absolutely lost her mind and nearly knocked over the Christmas tree a couple of weeks ago because she saw a dog out the window. I was getting obliterated by a migraine, so her barks were like knives into my eyes. Even so, I got down on her level and gently helped her calm down. If I had nearly knocked over the tree with my (legendary) clumsiness, would I have been as kind and calm to myself? Absolutely not. But if we can do it for our pets, then we can learn to do it for ourselves. That's the goal of Human Husbandry! Thanks for reading, and for confirming my (definitely biased) view of my dog's cuteness level.
